Sunset Cruises
Passengers will have plenty of room to enjoy the view and tour the tug. Tickets are available individually or for private parties. Passengers may bring refreshments if desired. Please call for questions about any special needs.

Bachelorette / Bachelor Parties
Plan your bachelorette or bachelor party board the Elsie J. A unique boat were you can party up above in the sun or down below. As much as possible we will accommodate you with trip times and the length of your cruise. Normal trips are 1 and 1/2 hours but special 3 hour trips are popular also. Contact us and we'll help you arrange everything to make your cruise truly unique.
Day/Morning Cruise
Bring your family and your friends to join us on our day/morning cruises. This is a perfect setting for those who want to enjoy the lake at it's best time.

Private Cruises
Plan your own private special event aboard the Elsie J. Email or call us and we'll help you arrange everything to make your cruise truly wonderful. As much as possible we will accommodate you with trip times and the length of your cruise and can hold up to 17 passengers.
Junior Captains Class
This family fun cruise is designed to be fun and relaxing for the whole family but also gives kids some hands-on experience with boat terminology and handling. And what better place to learn about terms like the bridge and take the helm then on the original 1945 boat Elsie J. And with their captains hat on (which they get to keep) be behind the wheel and be a real captain.
About The Elsie J
The ELSIE J. is a 48 ft. x 13 ft. fishing tug that was built by the Burger Boat Co.in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, in 1945 for Chris Jensen of South Haven, Michigan.
Chris Jensen began commercially fishing aboard the Elsie J. just after taking delivery of her in 1945.
His son Chuck eventually took over the family business and fished aboard the Elsei J. until 1976 when commercial fishing was banned on the Great Lakes.
The Elsie J. has undergone several changes over the years to include the addition of the pilothouse and modification of the stern for passengers. We have the ability to accommodate up to 17 passengers.
Equipped with her original 75-90 hp. Kahlenberg Oil Engine, the boat is still at South Haven operating as a licensed charter boat by the original owner's grandson, Captain Bob Jensen.
